Hanoi Open is a project of Art Culture Hanoi, with a series of workshop-tours, showcases to explore cultural heritage, history and artistic space and leverage the power of co-creation, especially young people, under the guidance and coordination of MYAN, Huong Mi Le/mi-mimi, Nguyen Huyen and guest artists and experts.

Hanoi Open No. 01 – Walking Long Bien with the guidance of MYAN and guest artist Le Nguyen Duy Phuong on a Sunday in the autumn, leading you along the road Ngoc Thuy with full of flowers and reeds, visiting Phuc Xa village communal house, Bac Bien, Mau Thoai sacred temple, exploring new art spaces and lifestyles that are both unique and close to the creative practitioners here. You will also enjoy local cuisine, relax by the river, watch the ships and the flow of the Red River, and depending on your inspiration, you will experience many other interesting surprises. You can explore and learn about historical relics and cultural spaces through Myan’s sharing, and also practice taking photos and recording moments and emotions with nature and life, as well as suggesting creative ideas on the journey with the guidance of artist Duy Phuong.

Walking Long Bien kicks off Hanoi’s first workshop series Hanoi Open from October 2023 – January 2024, including 03 workshop-tours, exchange – discussion – practice, creative activities and 01 workshop – showcase shows the results, in collaboration with artists Le Nguyen Duy Phuong, Nguyen Minh Hoang, with support from DAFA, MYAN Poetry & Art, Hanoi Grapevine, and Textile Linker. The first workshop was guided by MYAN and Duy Phuong, in the Bac Bien, Ngoc Thuy – Long Bien area. The second workshop coordinated by MYAN and Huong Mi Le/mi-mimi explores the Long Bien Station – Bai Giua – Nghi Tam area. The third workshop was conducted by MYAN and artist Nguyen Minh Hoang in Ha Dong – Cat Linh – Dien Bien Phu. After each of these workshop-tours, participants will spend two weeks reviewing and selecting their products with the first discussion session with instructors about creative ideas and implementation methods. From then until early January 2024 is the editing and completion of the work. The results will be collected, selected and used in the fourth workshop in the form of multimedia installations and performances created by MYAN, mi-mimi, Huyen Nguyen and guest artists with works of poetry and photography, videos, music…
