Hanoi Open is a project of Art Culture Hanoi, with a series of workshop-tours, showcases to explore cultural heritage, history and artistic space and leverage the power of co-creation, for community, especially young people, with the facilitation of MYAN, Huong Mi Le/mi-mimi, Nguyen Huyen, guest artists and experts.

The Hoa Xa train line, the flow of rivers, the rotation of motorbike engines, the rhythm of footsteps, and the spririt of exploration, all will lead you where along open roads of Hanoi? Hanoi Open No. 02 – Hoa Xa Path with the host of MYAN/Bui Thi Thu Hien and Huong Mi Le/mi-mimi is not only a workshop-tour but also an adventure with discoveries and multimedia experiences of movement and creativity. Starting from Long Bien Station, the train beats take you to Gia Lam Train Factory, joining in with the vibrant historical, cultural and artistic activities of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023, then back to Bai Giua, following the small paths of fields and gardens, down Nghi Tam, De Quai, moving and moving…

Hanoi Open No. 02 – Hoa Xa Road follows Walking Long Bien taking place on 22 October, being parts of Hanoi Open’s first workshop series from October 2023 – January 2024, including 03 workshop-tours, exchange – discussion – practice, creative activities and 01 workshop – showcase presenting the results, in collaboration with artists Le Nguyen Duy Phuong, Nguyen Minh Hoang, with support from DAFA, MYAN Poetry & Art, Hanoi Grapevine, and Textile Linker. The first workshop facilitated by MYAN and Duy Phuong, in Bac Bien, Ngoc Thuy – Long Bien District. The second workshop coordinated by MYAN and Huong Mi Le/mi-mimi explores the Long Bien Station – Bai Giua – Nghi Tam area. The third workshop will be conducted by MYAN and artist Nguyen Minh Hoang in Ha Dong – Cat Linh – Dien Bien Phu. After each of these workshop-tours, participants will spend two weeks reviewing and selecting their products for a first discussion session with instructors about creative ideas and implementation methods. From then until early January 2024 is the editing and completion of their artworks. The results will be selected and presented in the fourth workshop in the form of a mixed-media showcase curated by MYAN, mi-mimi, Huyen Nguyen and guest artists with works of poetry and photography, videos, music…
